<p>The invention provides an aqueous hair treatment composition comprising, in addition to water: i) an amino functionalized silicone; and ii) emulsified particles of an insoluble, hydroxyl functionalized silicone. The composition is suitably formulated as a shampoo or conditioner. Compositions of the invention show superior conditioning and also superior selectivity in conditioning performance. The combination of emulsified hydroxyl functionalized silicone and amino functionalized silicone gives demonstrably improved targeting towards those areas of the hair, such as the ends, where conditioning is needed most.</p> |
