RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR INNER LINER OF TIRE

PURPOSE: A rubber composition for the inner liner of a tire is provided, to improve the adhesive strength, the air permeation and the fatigue resistance of an inner liner and to reduce the thickness. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition comprises a natural rubber; a halobutyl rubber; carbon black; a resin; a softening agent; zinc oxide; stearic acid; a curing agent; a curing accelerator; and 2-20 parts by weight of the nanoclay modified with an organizing agent based on 100 parts by weight of total rubbers. Preferably the nanoclay is obtained by modifying montmorillonite whose plate structure has a thickness of 1-3 nm, an axis ratio of 200-500 and a width of 100-1,000 nm.
