HOUSING STRUCTURE FOR CONNECTOR

PURPOSE: To provide an easy manufacturing method for installing a retainer in a housing by providing a housing structure attached with the retainer for surely securing a functional part and sufficiently exhibiting the function of a connector in the connector incorporated with the functional part. CONSTITUTION: The functional part 40 is installed by insertion in an inserting port 13 (an external opening and a passage) of the functional part 40 of the housing 10 for the connector. An inserting port 26 is arranged in the passage for inserting the retainer 18 from the direction at an almost right angle to this inserting direction when attached-detached by a drawer, and is characterized by preventing component force of attaching-detaching directional force of the functional part 40 from operating in the attaching-detaching direction of the retainer 18 without blocking up the passage.
