PURPOSE: An airbag apparatus for engaging to a seat belt is provided to practice an improved passenger protection by combining the seat belt and airbag functions. CONSTITUTION: An airbag apparatus(100) for engaging to a seat belt(10) comprises a sealing unit(110) sealing an airbag, an airbag installed in the sealing unit, a compressed air cylinder positioned in the sealing unit, a controllable valve connected to the compressed air cylinder, a control unit controlling the valve, and a hanging/fixing member(120) of which one side is adhered to the sealing unit and the other side is receivable to the seat belt so that hung and fixed to the seat belt.
