<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system which can interrupt operation or leaves a system before the end of editing processing as a needed basis and edits text converted from electronic ink. <P>SOLUTION: A user interface can display electronic ink in one section of a display 147 and corresponding recognized or converted text in another section of the display that was generated from electronic ink recognition systems 121 and 122. Each page of the electronic ink and each corresponding page of the converted or recognized text are linked to one another.
