<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor and a function control method in the information processor which enables a user to freely set a function usable on an auxiliary display and input device, and to switch the function on the auxiliary display and input device in synchronization with the operational status of an application program. <P>SOLUTION: Because processing is realized which adds/deletes various functions which can be handled with the auxiliary display and input device by the user's operation, the auxiliary display and input device can be effectively used by the user.
