<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a variation in the luminance of a light-emitting element is caused by variation in the characteristics of a transistor for drive. <P>SOLUTION: The characteristics of the transistor for drive provided in a pixel are specified and a video signal to be inputted to the pixel is corrected based on the result, thus preventing influence by the variation in the characteristics of the transistor and providing a light emitting device enabling the clear display of multi-gradation and a method for driving the light emitting device. Additionally, a change in the amount of current flowing between both the electrodes of the light-emitting element caused by aging is suppressed, thus providing the light emitting device enabling clear multi-gradation display and the method for driving the light emitting device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
