PURPOSE: An LCD device using a gray voltage generation circuit is provided to obtain excellent gamma characteristics with little power consumption by using a gray voltage generation circuit, thereby easily performing a gamma compensation process without using another circuit in order to change the first and second reference voltages. CONSTITUTION: A gate driver(400) supplies a gate voltage to gate lines(G1-Gn). A data driver(500) supplies a corresponding gray voltage to data lines(D1-Dm) according to an applied data signal. A gray voltage generator(800) generates a gray voltage. The gray voltage generator(800) comprises as follows. Many gamma resistances are formed between the first reference voltage and the second reference voltage in serial. A voltage generator outputs the gray voltage from contacts of each gamma resistance. Many compensating resistances are connected between the contacts of the gamma resistances, respectively, and compensate the generated gray voltage. |
