<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily limit the use of an imitation battery apparatus from a third party at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: When a battery pack is loaded on an electronic apparatus (S1), the electronic apparatus transmits a prescribed initial signal to the battery packs (S3-S7). The battery pack generates a response signal based on a calculation pattern corresponding to a value of the initial signal sent from the electronic apparatus, and returns it to the electronic apparatus (S9-S14).
