<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize scattering and reflection characteristics in a reflective liquid crystal display device in which a reflection layer with recessing parts is disposed on the inner surface side of a thin film transistor substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A gate electrode 12 composed of an aluminum type metal which gets transparent on anodic oxidation, an auxiliary capacitance line 6 and the reflection layer 7 are simultaneously formed on a base insulating film 11 on a thin film transistor substrate 1. In this case, when fine transparent anodized oxide films 8 with thin nearly biconvex lens shapes are formed on the upper surface of the reflection layer 7, the recessing parts 9 with shapes corresponding to the lower surfaces of the anodized oxide films 8 are uniformly formed on the upper surface of the reflection layer 7. The reflection layer 7 is optionally formed on a gate insulating film 13. Also a pixel electrode 2 is optionally made to be a similar reflection layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
