PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information editing system which allows contents describing work to be more efficiently performed while reducing the cost.

SOLUTION: The information editing system 10 which edits digital data including at least one of audio data and image data is provided with; a recorder 100 having a digital data recording means 102 for recording digital data; a portable input device 200 having an index data acquisition means 204 for acquiring index data including excerpt information of contents in an editing position of digital data; and an information editor 400 having a digital data acquisition means 402 for acquiring digital data, an index data acquisition means 404 for acquiring index data, and an editing position detection means 408 for detecting the editing position from digital data on the basis of index data.
