<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithographic printing original plate having excellent sensitivity and plate wear, and moreover, excellent stability with time, and in particular, to provide a lithographic printing original plate suitable for direct drawing with IR laser light. <P>SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate has a photosensitive layer containing an IR absorbent, a sulfonium salt polymerization initiator, a polymerizable compound, and a binder polymer on a supporting body.
