<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of wrinkles accompanying sheet carrying while maintaining carrying property by carrying a sheet by a plurality of carrying means. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming device 10, a pickup roll 24, a feed roll 26 and a retard roll 28 cooperate and take one sheet from a paper feeding cassette 22, a turn roll 30 carrys the taken sheet to a resist roll 40, the resist roll 40 aligns a tip of the sheet cariied from the turn roll 30 and carrys the sheet to an image forming means 14. At this time, a control unit 710 switches the turn roll 30 from a driving state to a driven state under the condition that the resist roll 40 starts carrying of the sheet.
