<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock changing circuit capable of changing a clock frequency in steps in response to changes of an operational mode. <P>SOLUTION: The clock changing circuit includes a clock generating circuit which generates an output clock signal by controlling the frequency of the original clock signal, and a control circuit which controls the clock generating circuit according to an operational mode switch signal indicating the switch from the first to the second operational mode of an external circuit operated by the output clock signal, so that while the output clock signal is changed from a first frequency in the first operational mode to a second frequency in the second operational mode, a third frequency intervenes between the first frequency and the second frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
