The floor panels have at least two profiled edges with a geometry comprising at least one upper horizontal surface and at least one lower horizontal surface. The upper horizontal surface on a first edge of the panel is located at a distance X from the top side of the panel and the lower horizontal surface on this first edge is located at a distance Y from the top side of the panel, whilst the upper horizontal surface on a second edge of the panel is located at a distance X-n or X+n from the top side and the lower horizontal surface on the second edge is located at a distance Y+n or Y-n from the top side, where n is a distance which is greater than 0.05 mm and less than X.
