PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily update the control program or data of a household electrical appliance even after purchase.

SOLUTION: When there is no rice information read from a non-contact information storage medium 51, access is made to the download page of a corresponding website through a first communication means 46a via an information terminal 41 and an information provision device 43 to download the corresponding rice information so as to automatically update both or either of the control program and/or data of a rice cooker 40.
