<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit of a motor for a vehicle for preventing noise and vibration from being generated in a vehicle when discharging in the smoothing capacitor of an inverter. <P>SOLUTION: In a hybrid vehicle, a plurality of motors MG1, MG2 are connected to the driving shaft of the vehicle. The plurality of motors MG1, MG2 are controlled by a plurality of inverter circuits INV1, INV2. When ignition is off, a DC circuit with a battery 5 is broken, and the charge in the smoothing capacitor 32 inside the inverter 6 is discharged by the winding of the motors MG1, MG2.
