<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system, an image processing method, and an image processing program capable of producing synthetic images having high visibility and a high compression efficiency with a small calculation error when the image is expressed on a plane surface as a whole, and a computer readable record medium for recording the same image processing program. <P>SOLUTION: An equal-area image converting means 3 converts a plurality of entered images into a plurality of equal-area images. A pixel density ratio of the converted equal-area image is equal to a pixel density ratio of the image. First, the equal-area image converting means 3 converts pixel coordinates of the plurality of images into spherical coordinates. Then, the equal-area image converting means 3 converts the plurality of images into a plurality of equal-area images by converting the converted spherical coordinates into plane coordinates.
