An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to generate a distortion-free gate low voltage having a predetermined maximum level through a gate low voltage generator located in a gate driving IC(Integrated Circuit) to prevent distortion of the gate low voltage, which is caused by LOG(Line On Glass) line resistance, thereby minimizing picture quality deterioration. An LCD includes an LCD panel(210), gate driving ICs(240), data driving ICs(260) and a gate low signal generator(320). The LCD panel includes an LOG signal line group which provides control signals and power signals. The gate driving ICs drive gate lines of the LCD panel. The gate low signal generator is located in each of the gate driving ICs and generates a gate low signal from a common voltage supplied from the LOG signal line group and a reference voltage. The gate low signal generator includes a rectifier for receiving the common voltage and a level shifter for receiving the reference voltage and the common voltage output from the rectifier and generating a gate low voltage. |
