<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool and method for extracting a wear liner from a shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The tool 10 is provided with an extracting member 14, a jack member 12, coupling means 16, and a driving member which is coupled to the jack member and abuts against the end portion of the shaft. The liner is extracted from the shaft by actuating the driving member. The method for extracting the liner from the shaft includes steps of: (a) fixing the extracting member to the liner; (b)mounting the jack member for supporting the driving member abutting against the shaft on the end portion of the shaft; (c) coupling the extracting member to the jack member; and (d) rotating the driving member.
