Brush structure - esp for cladding pressure plates of textile pressing/ironing machines

The upper pressure plate esp. of the machine is clad with a bristle surface fabric which may be a layer of independent bristles embedded in a layer of adhesive or binder material or form part of a woven fabric esp. sheared looped textile. The bristles are of monofilament plastics material with thickness of 0.05-0.5 esp. 0.2 mm approx. The support layer is of material which stiffens up after initial shaping to fit the curvature of the top pressure plate to which it is secured esp. by adhesive. This layer material is esp. textile such as felt, or heat curing, thermoplastically deformable resin, curing or setting of the shape in either case being produced by the heat of the steam. The system to prevent shine on the surface of textiles or garments passed through a pressing machine using high pressure, e.g. up to 8 atmos, steam.
