<p>Tripe, offal etc. is put into a vertical, washing cylinder which has a high speed rotating, perforated base plate; the inside wall of the cylinder is lined with abrasive material and a jet enters the cylinder to direct a stream of cleaning fluid on to the tripe; the jet has a coaxial, internal steam injector and can deliver warm water and/or steam. The machine cleans, degreases and scrubs the tripe automatically and reduces the cleaning process time compared with manual tubbing.</p> |
