<p>1330887 Substituted N-phenylaminoimidazoline-(2) BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM GmbH 16 Nov 1970 [17 Nov 1969] 54473/70 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] Novel compounds of formula [wherein R 1 , R 2 and R 3 , which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine or bromine atom or an alkyl, alkoxy, trifluoromethyl or cyano group and R 4 and R 5 , which must be different from one another, each represents a hydrogen atom or the group -(CH 2 ) n -A (wherein A represents a dialkylamino group with up to 4 carbon atoms in each of the alkyl groups or a morpholino, pyrrolidino or piperidino group) and n is 2 or 3] and acid addition salts thereof are prepared by one of the following methods:-(a) reaction of a compound of Formula II: with a compound of formula (b) reaction of a compound of Formula IV or V: wherein Y is amino, mercapto, alkoxy or alkylthio with ethylenediamine; (c) a compound of Formula VI: wherein X and Z are each halogen, alkoxy, alkylthio, amino or mercapto with a compound of formula HNCH 2 CH 2 NH(CH 2 ) n -A; or (d) chlorination or bromination of a compound of Formula I where one of R 1 , R 2 or R 3 is H, optionally followed by salt formation. N - (p - bromophenyl) - N - (2 - morpholinoethyl) - 5 - methyl - isothiuronium hyriodide is prepared by reaction of methyl iodide and N-pbromophenyl - N - 2 - morpholino ethyl)-thiourea obtained by reaction of ammonium rhodanide and N - (p - bromophenyl - 2 - morpholinoethylamine) prepared by reaction of p-bromoaniline and N-(2-chloroethyl)-morpholine.</p> |
