An oxygen burner consists of two coaxial tubes, the peripheral tube forming the burner jacket. The annular space between the two pipes is used for fuel supply, and the central tube for a highly oxidant combustive. Esp. the internal profiles of the outlet ends of the central and/or peripheral tubes may be a cylinder of constant dia equal to that of the rest of the tube(s) and/or may be convergent along its axis in the direction of fluid flow, or the central tube may have a convergent/divergent internal profile.
