PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas cell unit and an atomic oscillator which can improve frequency accuracy.SOLUTION: A gas cell unit 2 according to the present invention comprises: a gas cell 21 filled with gaseous alkali metal atoms; a heater 22 for heating the gas cell 21; and a heater 23, for heating the gas cell 21, which is provided to face the heater 22 via the gas cell 21. The heater 22 includes a heating resistor 222 which generates heat by electric conduction. The heater 23 includes a heating resistor 232 through which a current flows in the same direction as that of a current flowing through the heating resistor 222, and which generates heat by electric conduction. Between the heating resistor 222 and the heating resistor 232, a magnetic field generated when the heating resistor 222 is brought into electric conduction and a magnetic field generated when the heating resistor 232 is brought into electric conduction are cancelled out by each other or mitigated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
