<p>A technique for linking the toe of a sock and then turning the seam inside, threads the stitches close to the end to be closed, on to a series of pins, sews the stitches tightly together and then pushes them off the pins for the sock to be reversed. For reversing, the sock is slipped over the end of a suction pipe moving with the pins, so that when the sock is pushed off in the sequence of operations, it is sucked into the pipe and reversed. Considerably reduces the time necessary to sew the toe and turn the sock seam side in.</p> |
