Torque indicative nuts or bolts - have ribs projecting radially from apices yielding at limit torque to cause spanner slip

The torque indicative nuts or bolts, are for precision tightening with lower strength materials, and are accessible for re-tightening or unfastening. Ribs (4) project radially from each of the apices of conventioanl hexagonal nuts (3) to induce slipping of the spanner at specific torque by yeilding elastically. The nut is flanged (2) and has two sections, one flanged and one (1) of solid conventional hexagonal from, for retightening or unfastening. The ribs (4) are cold metal formed or plastic injection moulded.
