<p>Drill steel ejector for percussive drills or impact machines involving a tapered tool shaft to be driven out of the similarly tapered bore of the machine spindle. Means are provided to allow the striker mechanism itself to be temporarily used to eject the drill steel or tool. A further device diverts some of the striker force, and thrusts off an adjustable stop which can be axially positioned as required in relation to the spindle bore holding the tool. This device applies the diverted force direct onto the end of the tool or drill steel (F). The ejector should be complete with mechanica or hydraulic force transmission. The top for the diverter has an annular surface arranged coaxially with respect to the spindle bore (6). The surface is at right angles to the bore and is conical or curved. Transmission should be effected by a crescent member (28) held in a recessed part at the rear end of the spindle bore (6) so that part of the crescent protrudes radially outward and a second bow part can strike against a stop in the recess at the same time as the far end of the crescent engages the tool steel (F).</p> |
