<p>Panels made of wood-chips and an insulating material are used as structural facing panels without the need for a subframe, or as a partition wall. The panels can either have no external facing, be integral with it, or be independent of it. In cases where the panel is independent of the external facing the individual panels are placed on a horizontal wooden member attached to the foundations, and another horizontal member placed on top. A layer of insulating material is placed against the walls, and an outer wall made of bricks, stone, etc. erected. The outer wall, however, is not a structural wall.</p> |
