The window-frame consists of two telescopically interfitting frames (2, 3), the outer one (2) of which at least is joined to the building. The inner frame (3) may be joined to the building. The inner frame may be joined to the projecting masonry (5) of the wall (6) by screws (7) or pins. Further screws (8) fix the window frame (9) enclosing the glass (10). The outer frame (2) has a flange (11) running round it fitting over the masonry (6) and fixed by screws (12). Both frames (2, 3) have angled sides (2a, 3a) facing the other component, with their free edges having surrounding sealing (13).
