Metal processing fluid detoxification by combustion system - has spent fluids atomised under pressure into high temperature combustion chamber

A system by means of which spent fluids used in metal processing operations, or which contain toxic constituents may be combusted in order to render them harmless to the surrounding environment, is constructed such that the toxic or spent fluid is atomised into a burner chamber at temperatures in excess of 800 deg.C and under elevated pressure. Pressures of 10 to 30 atmospheres are used and in general the fluid is fed into the combustion chamber in counter flow against a flow of fuel which is introduced into the burner chamber also under pressure.
