PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antisense oligonucleotides that modulate expression and/or function of Glial cell derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) directed to natural antisense polynucleotide of GDNF, as well as identification of these antisense oligonucleotides, and uses thereof in treatment of diseases and disorders associated with expression of GDNF.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, the invention provides a method for inhibiting the action of natural antisense transcripts and up-regulating the corresponding sense gene by using an antisense oligonucleotide(s) targeting any region of the natural antisense transcript.SELECTED DRAWING: None
