Pozzolanic concrete additive - comprising lava slag ground to predetermined particle size

Puzzo laric additive for concrete consists of lava slag which is finely ground to a particle size of >=3000 cm2/g (specific surface measurement according to Blaine). Calcining or rapid cooling of the additive is not required. The additive gives the concrete good water resistance and reduces the heat of setting. The additive also improves the strength and reduces efflorescence. The additive reduces the amt. of cement required which in turn promotes corrosion protection of the steel reinforcement. The pumping properties of the concrete are also improved.
