<p>The key-cutting machine can operate automatically, cuts two keys simultaneously, and cuts laminar key e.g. for cylinder locks. Two outline keys (15a, 15b) converge on horizontal diametrically opposed points on a cutting disc (3), and can also move parallel to the disc (3) axis. The depth and location of each indented cut is controlled by a sensor engaging the corresponding indents of a model key (13). The two outlines (15a, 15b) may be secured by vices (12b, 16) on separate pivoting arms (11c, 11b). The arms (11c, 11b) are mounted on opposite sides of a slide (9) which centres below the disc (3). The slide (9) is mounted on a power driven screw (19) and guided by two freely rotatable round rails (10a, 10b). The model (13) is mounted on a cantilever (11a) off the slide (9) and locates in the same vertical plane as the outlines (15a, 15b). The arms (11c, 11b) are keyed onto the rails (10a, 10b) together with two enmeshing segmental gear wheels (17a, 17b). The wheels ensure the simultaneous pivoting of the two arms towards the cutter (3).</p> |
