<p>The wooden handrail is designed for self assembly and used on balustrades balconies, etc. It is made up from prefabricated components on a rigid pattern. These pieces are all formed exclusively with end abutting joints, each having complementary connecting elements (5, 6) at its two opposite end faces. There can be mitre-cut and joined corner pieces, with a shank length measured on the centre line (4) 30-70% longer than the projection width of the shanks (1, 2) vertically on the main plane. The complementary connecting elements can be dowel plugs and holes, and plugs can be sited vertically to the mitre joint (3) on corner pieces. These can be mass-produced, for easy assembly by unskilled people, without special tools needed.</p> |
