<p>The master bolt (1, 5) for the locking mechanism of a strong room door is divided into two axial sections linked by an electromagnetic clutch (7). The bolt advances to enter and immobilise a second bolt (2). The clutch disarms the master bolt, and is energised by generators located outside the strong room. The generators emit two alternative signals i.e. may energise the clutch or may not. When the clutch is not energised the two sections of the master bolt are not coupled, the root section (5) may be withdrawn, but the leading section (1) remains in position immobilising the second bolt (2). When the clutch is energised the master bolt is withdrawn in one piece liberating the second bolt. The simple electromagnet (8, 9), mounted on the end of the root section (5), when energised, attracts a plate (10) fixed to the end of the leading section (1).</p> |
