Multiple conveyor belt gap spanning bridge - has prefabricated box girder support grid for increasing tiers of belts

In an industrial layout the belt bridge may serve to carry conveyor belts across roads between buildings, or similar. It has a substructure of yoke beams (12) supported on posts (13). A supporting grid of prefabricated lengthways (19) and cross girders (20), carries a gradually increasing number of conveyor belts (17, 18), and as reinforcement for the yoke beams (12). The girders are fitted with connections (26) for posts (25) insertable on them to carry support structures (23, 28) for further layers of conveyor belts. The whole width of the grid may be spanned by a roof structure (24). This layout permits gradual increase of the number of conveyor belts to be carried, in higher tiers, as in ports where freighters are to be loaded or unloaded at deep water jetties.
