The unit is used for outside storage of fertiliser delivered in bulk and comprises a closed container. This has its lower end extended to form a loading position, the fertiliser being tipped into an opening. Inside is a chain at each side running over pulleys and following the contours of the container. Slats are fitted between the chains. A discharge opening is provided at the top, on the side opposite the loading end and closing flaps are fitted to both openings. The container is filled by operating the chain with the discharge flap closed.
