A clothcovered table for playing skittle-snooker, Russian billiards and like games is provided beneath the spot mark or each spot mark with a resilient insert 13 situated in a recess 14 which communicates with the bottom of the bed 12 by means of a hole 15 having a countersunk lower end 16. The insert is formed of a material such as rubber, pressed felt, cotton or wool, or soft wood, and is held in place by a fixing compound such as bitumen, sulphur, resin or plaster. The fixing compound may flow into a central hole 17 in the insert.
