A cardboard container sleeve for fragile objects is made from four equal wall panels which are linked together by straight fold lines. Central holes in each panel are provided for the location of the object that is being wrapped. Each wall panel is also provided with a diagonal fold line which is interrupted by the location hole. When an object is placed inside the finished sleeve the top and bottom end faces of the sleeve is twisted through 90 deg. so that the object is held in position by the unwinding force produced by the twisted sleeve.
