In order to keep the material for milling which is filled into the milling space (20) away from the shaft bearing (28) and in order to separate off the milling space (20) from the discharge chamber (54) so that only material for milling but no grinding bodies located in the milling space can pass into the discharge chamber (54), a rotating ring (66) is constructed as separating ring and as sliding ring and is part both of a separating device and of a sliding ring seal. This ring (66) forms at the same time the radially inner limitation of the discharge chamber (54) and interacts with a fixed separating ring (52). By means of the combination of the otherwise customary two rotating rings to form a single ring, the production and maintenance costs of the separating device and of the sliding ring seal can be reduced. <IMAGE>
