PURPOSE:To facilitate discriminating the time of time zones of plural cities of the world, by providing an alphanumeric display part to perform switching display. CONSTITUTION:The standard signal of time reference source 6 is subjected to frequency division in 7 and is supplied to liquid crystal display unit 1 through time counting circuit 9 and driver 10. In unit 1, a day of the month is displayed on three- digit alphanumeric display part 2, and a day of the week, post meridiem, and a date are displayed on character display part 4, and hours, minutes, and seconds are displayed on numeric display part 3. When switch 13 for universal time has been depressed for 2 seconds, the time difference signal of time difference counter 14 is supplied to time counting circuit 9 through gate 8, and the name of the pertinent city of the world is displayed with a three-digit character code on display part 2. Thus, the normal time and the universal time are switched by turning-on of switch 13, and the time zone is shifted by one. |
