<p>The fixing has two double Z-section profiles (1,2) of bent sheet steel with edges (4) shaped to lock onto and hold adjacent insulating panels (5,6). The profiles are joined, spaced and braced by hexagonal connectors (7) fixed by a screw at each end. The screw (8) has a square seat to match a square hole in profile (2), while this profile has a shaped slide (12) slotted into a space (3), so that it provides a fixing for a longitudinal brace (15). The fixing is completed by insulating seals (17) and by filling the space between the two profiles with insulating foam.</p> |
