<p>An accelerator pump for providing additional fuel to the carburetor of an internal combustion engine during acceleration permits staged or sequential operation of the pump while employing simplified construction. The structure is arranged so that the accelerating pump is caused to travel during an initial opening of a primary throttle of the carburetor, after which the pump ceases to move until a secondary throttle begins to open, at which time additional pumping action is accomplished.</p> |
