Secured on extension arms (12) of the longitudinal rails (13) of the lying surface part are locking pins (11) which can engage in the series of notches (8). The side bars (7) are connected to one another by means of a bottom bar (15). For the purpose of adjusting the height and locking the backrest (3), the lounger is of a simple and operationally reliable construction.
