PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of accumulating a greater amount of dust by compressing the dust in a dust receiving unit when transferring the dust between two units.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner 1 has a cleaning unit 2 for catching dust on the surface of a floor to be cleaned and a station unit 5 for collecting the dust caught by the cleaning unit 2. The cleaning unit 2 has a first electric blower 13 and a first dust container 12 for separating and catching the dust from the air sucked into the first electric blower 13. The station unit 5 with a second electric blower 69, a second dust container 68 for separating and catching the dust from the air sucked into the second electric blower 69 and a dust transfer pipe 25 for transferring the dust from the first dust container 12 to the second dust container 68 by a negative suction pressure generated by the second electric blower 69 causes dust compression flow whose flow rate is greater than the transfer flow to be generated after generation of the transfer flow transferring the dust and flow into the second dust container 68.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
