Arrangement of a rolling mill for rolling of bar and/or wire, containing a number of so-called duoroll pairs 1, arranged one after the other in a primarily straight line in a so-called continuous train. The rolling mill is characterised in that said roll pairs 1 are arranged so that the dimension of each roll pair 1 is slight in the direction where rolling is to occur, so that such consecutive roll pairs 1 can be set up close together. Preferably, each pair of rolls 13 is arranged between two mutually parallel side plates 16 or the like, where the main dimensional plane 17 of each plate 16 is perpendicular to the direction of rolling and where the side plates 16 are arranged to absorb the rolling forces via two end elements 18. Furthermore, the rolling mill is characterised in that the roll pair 1 can shift in the direction of rolling and can be secured on rulers 2 or the like and can rotate in a plane perpendicular to the direction of rolling, to be established and secured in any given sequence of horizontal 7 and vertical 10 roll pairs 1. Furthermore, it is characterised by drive equipment 6, 11, preferably consisting of motors and directly engaging transmissions, which can shift in the direction of rolling for the horizontal pairs 7 and vertical pairs 10, and which can be fixed on rulers 5, 9 or the like at the side of or above and/or below the rulers 2 or the like, along which the roll pair 1 can shift. <IMAGE> |
