A method for the manufacture of a stressed-skin shell, especially a boat hull shell constructed from multiple layers by means of a mould framework 2 formed to the required shape and on which hollow profiles 3 are assembled and spot-fastened, which by means of longitudinal channels 12 can interlock with one another as indented joints. For simple and reliable fitting of the hollow profiles in any desired contour on the mould framework, the hollow profiles are assembled by means of one or more U-shaped assembly clamps 11 to form, a section, which by bending the assembly clamp is adjusted to the contour of the mould framework section that is to be covered. The hollow profiles arranged in the relevant contour are then connected together in the individual section, following which the assembly clamp or clamps is/are removed, and a partially penetrating, hardening, thermosetting filler material is applied to the hollow profiles, and a fibre-reinforced, thermosetting plastic laminate is applied to the surfaces thus formed. The assembly clamp 11, which is made of an elastic material and which forms a U-shaped profile, is fixed by means of a connecting piece to an essentially U-shaped support part 13, which encloses the U-shaped profile. The U-shaped support part has legs 113, 113', which correspond to the legs 111, 111' of the U-shaped profile and which carry adjusting screws 114, 115, by means of which the distance between each leg of the U-shaped profile and the associated leg of the support part can be adjusted. <IMAGE>
