PURPOSE:A water absorbing resin useful as a sanitary napkin which is prepared readily in water medium, etc. having extremely improved water absorbing properties, obtained by copolymerizing a (meth)acrylic acid with a divinyl type monomer, e.g., polyoxyalkylene di(meth)acrylate, etc. CONSTITUTION:(A) Acrylic acid(salt) and/or methacrylate(salt) is copolymerized with (B) a polyoxyalkylene di(meth)acrylate (e.g., polyethylene glycol diacrylate, etc.) shown by the formula I (R1-R4 are H or methyl; n is integer of 2-25) and/or a divinyl type monomer shown by the formula II (R5-R10 are H or methyl) in an aqueous solution, to give the desired resin. 100mol Integredient A is preferably used with 0.001-1.0mol ingredient B. |
