PURPOSE:To prevent the short-circuit trouble due to the corrosion of the electric machine by a method wherein the corrosion preventing device, constituted by a valve and a reaction cell in such manner that a piping is arranged on a section of the oil-immersed electric machine, is installed. CONSTITUTION:Filters are provided on the reaction cell 8 and the screw-type coil of copper, silver and the like is provided between filters. When the valves 10 and 11 of the corrosion preventing device 7 and valves 12 and 14 are closed, the insulating oil 4 in a tank 1 flows to a cooling device 6 through the valves 10, the cell 8 and the valve 11 when the machine is operated, and the oil is then returned into the tank. Therefore, the organic sulfur compound contained in the insulating oil 4 is turned into a sulfide by reaction to metal when passing through the cell 8, and is exfoliated from the screw-type coil in proportion to the development of the reaction. On the other hand, the sulfide which will be generated in the transformer body is accumulated between the valve 10 and the cell 8. Then, after the lapse of a fixed time, the valves 12-14 are opened, the valves 10 and 11 are closed and the operation is continued by by-passing the cell 8. As a result, the sulfide located between the valve 10 and the cell 8 is removed through the valve 14. |
